Junior Product Owner (Contract)

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Junior Product Owner for a 6 Month contract based remotely.

Purpose of the Role:

The client is seeking additional support to ensure successful delivery their 2024 plan. The plan includes initiatives like rate harmonisation, transaction data labelling, and ACH on-boarding enhancements. Looking to add one resource to assist with new tasks such as reducing fraud cases, implementing a new Click To Pay strategy, and scoping card subscription solutions.

As a Junior Product Owner you will be responsible for assisting on the 2024 plan which includes the following:

  • Rate harmonisation and monitoring
  • Launching enhanced transaction data labelling
  • Replacing Digidocs for ACH on-boarding
  • TTM migration to PEGA
  • Launching Visa mobile features and new cards
  • Reviewing and re mediating credit accounts
  • Monitoring mobile and telephony channel performance
  • Adding ACH access to the app
  • Fraud case reduction
  • Implementing a new Click To Pay strategy for Visa

What we require from the candidate:

  • Logical thinker with behaviours suited to competency-based interviews
  • Candidates should excel in influencing others and managing stakeholders, with the ability to proactively seek information and solutions
  • Ideally, candidates would have experience in the financial services sector
  • A background in marketing would be beneficial, particularly for those interested in transitioning from communications/marketing to product development
  • The ability to drive customer engagement and enhance product performance is key
  • Experience in improving customer experience across various apps, products, and services (Advantageous)
  • Experience of setting up features in a mobile app (Advantageous)
