Data Quality Lead - Insurance, Data Validation, SQL

Seeking a Data Quality Lead to join a leading London Market Insurer in a dynamic team and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality, compliance, and efficient data utilisation. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in driving the development of processes and standards to elevate data quality the organisation. By collaborating closely with stakeholders at all levels, you'll leverage your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking to support and advance the organisation's data-driven objectives.

In this role, you'll find yourself at the forefront of shaping the data landscape and will be fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to work across the business to identify data utilisation and quality challenges, establish a robust framework and translate them into actionable data validation rules to ensure company-wide data integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough root cause analyses of data issues, devising preventative strategies and streamlining processes for enhanced data management.
• Implement data validation rules within Data quality tools, adhering to enterprise standards and requirements
• Oversee the resolution of data validation rule failures according to SLAs, facilitating timely follow-ups and verification of fixes
• Collaborate with data consumers to navigate risk acceptance processes, understanding and managing risk tolerance levels
• Develop and maintain dashboards summarising data quality metrics, trends, and improvements

Requirements:

• Expertise in data quality management, including proficiency in data validation rule implementation and data profiling
• Strong communication skills for seamless collaboration with senior technology and business stakeholders
• Comprehensive understanding of data quality's significance and its impact on business objectives and risk management
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, considering all facets of the insurance process to formulate strategies for enhancing data quality enterprise-wide
• Technical proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and DQpro
