ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior/Staff Network Engineer, you will be part of a team supporting Ariba global data center and cloud service infrastructure. You will be working with multiple application teams to help transform Ariba's cutting edge, collaborative business commerce operation to 99. 99% availability.
You will work on maximizing network performance, troubleshooting and solving network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, securing network infrastructure by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in design and implementation of multi-vendor production networks spanning multiple data centers and locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-function teams for project delivery.
  • Provide expert level troubleshooting to support network availability.
  • Develop/work on tools & frameworks to drive efficiency in monitoring, troubleshooting and management of large-scale network environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Networking and Security, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in network design and implementation.
  • Expert level multi-vendor experience with Arista/Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/F5 BigIP devices.
  • Expert level knowledge with TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, MPLS.
  • Familiar with at least one programming language, such as Python/Perl.
  • Comfortable with common operation under Linux.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Cisco certificate CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent preferred.
